Stephen Abram

Stephen Abram, Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Masters in Library Science, is Vice President / President-elect of Ontario Library Association and has served in many leadership positions in Canadian Library Association, Special Libraries Association and other information professional organizations from which he has received many leadership and other prestigious awards. He speaks frequently on developing effective knowledge ecologies, product creation and marketing and e-learning.

In his day job, Abram is Vice President of Corporate Development for Micromedia Limited and IHS Canada. He has been Publisher, Electronic Information for Carswell and Thomson Electronic Publishing in Canada and the United States, creating some of the leading legal finding tools in North America in CD-ROM, online and web formats. He has managed libraries, marketing and information resources for Hay Management Consultants, Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) as well as held positions with the Canadian law firm Smith, Lyons, Torrance, Stevenson, & Mayer, and Suncor.
