Debra
M. Amidon (debra@entovation.com)
is the chair and chief executive officer of Entovation International,
Ltd., a global innovation research and consulting network linking 80
countries throughout the world. Her own specialties include knowledge
strategy, learning networks, customer innovation and enterprise transformation.
Debra M. Amidon was born and raised outside Boston Massachusetts. She
has held a variety of administrative and instructional posts in the
US, Canada, Mexico and The Netherlands, including within education,
government and industry. Her network spans 80 countries and her own
presentations have been heard throughout North and South America, Eastern
and Western Europe, Asia and South Africa. Her articles and books are
published in a dozen languages.
Amidon holds degrees from Boston University, Columbia University and
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior professional positions
include serving as assistant secretary of education for the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts, as well as the founding executive director of the
Northeast Consortium of Colleges and Universities in Massachusetts and
the first female dean at Babson College.
A prolific writer, her progressive management concepts and methodologies
are often cited in the research of others. Her "Momentum of Knowledge
Management" and the subsequent "Global Momentum of Knowledge
Strategy" are available in many languages over the World Wide Web.
In fact, her books have been published in French, Chinese, Spanish,
Portuguese and German. Her most recent publications are Innovation
Strategy for the Knowledge Economy: The Ken Awakening (1997) (see
our Review),
Creating the Knowledge-Based Business (1997), and Collaborative
Innovation and the Knowledge Economy (1998), Architectural
Primer (2000) (see our Review)
and The Global Knowledge Primer (2001) (see our Review).
Her newest work features The Innovation SuperHighway©, a concept
she has innovated.
