Darwin Nickel

Darwin Nickel, Intelligence Specialist, EMR Consulting Group, is a former government intelligence officer who has worked in the areas of criminal, political, military and now competitive intelligence. He has an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Manitoba and is a graduate of the Canadian Army's senior command and Staff College where he studied advanced knowledge and intelligence management techniques and decision-making processes.

As a Competitive Intelligence Consultant, Nickel specializes in intelligence management, working with both the private and public sectors, most notably with the Alberta Government, where he has taught workshops on knowledge and intelligence management. He also specializes in strategic planning, particularly the integration of intelligence into the business planning process. Nickel is currently an instructor with the University of Toronto where he co-instructs a course on Competitive Intelligence and the Internet. He is an associate member of the Special Libraries Association.
